Dear Parents/Guardians:
We understand that together we are all navigating through uncharted territory amidst COVID-19 and continue to take the advice and direction from the various levels of government and public health authorities.
As you may know, the City of Toronto announced that all City-owned playgrounds and parks amenities would be closed immediately, including City-owned playgrounds, sports fields/courts, off-leash dog parks, picnic areas and parking lots attached to parks, to stop the spread of COVID-19.
In response to this announcement, the Toronto Catholic District School Board, will be closing all school playgrounds immediately. This also includes other amenities like sports fields, basketball/tennis courts on school property, until further notice. Signage will be posted.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their efforts to support one another during these challenging times. I am confident that by continuing to work together we will get through this.
We will continue to provide updates to our community as they become available, and we encourage you to visit our webpage for the latest TCDSB updates related to the impact of COVID-19 here: https://www.tcdsb.org/forstudents/healthandsafety/pages/coronavirusinfo.aspx
Sincerely,
Rory McGuckin
