April 3, 2020
Dear TCDSB Families:
The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) remains committed to supporting student learning during these unusual times. As you are likely aware from previous communications, a number of online resources, including suggested daily learning activities are available to support your child while learning at home. These will continue to be available on the TCDSB Learning Resources page.
Starting Monday, April 6th, we will embark on the next phase of distance learning together, connecting students with their classroom teachers for regular instruction and assessment throughout the school closures (expected reopening May 4th). For more information, please review the attached TCDSB’s Faith Community of Believers Distance Learning Plan for Students and Snapshot.
We continue to gather information received from families about the availability of technology and are working to ensure that all students are able to participate in learning at home. We appreciate your patience as we work through this unprecedented time, and while there may be a few bumps in the road ahead, we are confident that our students and staff will be well positioned to learn and grow together.
Your child's success remains vitally important to us. All of us are dedicated to ensuring that teachers and other school staff have the resources and training they need to support your child's progress over the coming weeks. Teachers have already started reaching out to their students and will continue to do so in the days ahead to prepare them for the next steps in this process.
Should you have any questions or concerns at any time, please reach out to the Principal at your child's school for assistance. As always, we encourage you to watch for the latest COVID-related news and information or follow @TCDSB on Twitter.
These are challenging times, but we are confident that with everyone working together, our students will know they are surrounded by a community of believers committed to supporting their success.
The body of Christ, or the people that are the whole of humanity, are a team. The body is not supported by one person, but by all of us. We are one, we are strongest working together in unity. Teamwork is the key to living life in harmony, so that we can do God's will.

Sincerely
