St. John Helps with HAMPER’S SHARE A CHRISTMAS 2021

Community Centre 55’s, 40th Annual Share a Christmas Programme.

This year, Community Centre 55`s
Share a Christmas faces challenges and the need is as great as ever.  Last year they assisted over 900 families, which translates to well over 1200 people. They expect many more will need help this Christmas. This year we at St. John are hoping for all of us to come together to help with the Share A Christmas Programme.

As a school community, we would like to help with Centre 55’s Share a Christmas Programme by donating gift cards to the Teen Angel Programme.

Support our Teen Angel Programme
In our haste to see that children receive a nice Christmas we tend to forget about the older children and we seldom have enough age appropriate gifts for teens. You can help by purchasing gift cards in denominations of $30.00 to $50.00 from businesses for teen gift purchases, such as Wal Mart, Sport Check, Shoppers Drug Mart, H&M, etc.

You can send gift cards with your children and the school will deliver them to Centre 55.

The last day for cards to be dropped off at St. John is FRIDAY DECEMBER 10, 2021.

St. John Helps YOU ARE LOVED TORONTO

YOU ARE LOVED TORONTO is a non-profit, started by a former St. John Staff member, that tries to do their best to minimize a bit of the suffering of those experiencing extreme poverty in downtown Toronto. This Christmas YOU ARE LOVED TORONTO would love to give our brothers and sisters who are homeless the gift of cleanliness. Many of them have asked us for products such as soap, feminine hygienic pads, shampoo, etc. Even though they may have access to public showers or to showers in the shelters they are living, often they don't have access to those products. Therefore, if you feel moved to help them, donations of any of the following products would be really appreciated:
  • Toothpaste/Toothbrush
  • Soap
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Q-tips
  • You can send donations with your children and the school will deliver them to YOU ARE LOVED TORONTO.

The last day for donations to be dropped off at St. John is WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 15, 2021.

Thank you for your help supporting those less fortunate in our city this Christmas!

Warm regards,
